The Interfraternity Council (IFC) at the University of Missouri – Kansas City is the governing body of all member fraternities. UMKC's IFC governs five chapters: Beta Theta Pi, Lambda Theta Phi, Lambda Chi Alpha, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Sigma Phi Epsilon.
The purpose of IFC is to promote unity, sustain and increase the internal strength and power of the Greek system at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, provide information and encourage involvement in campus and community affairs and uphold the values upon which the Fraternal community at UMKC was founded. The responsibilities of IFC including striving toward the highest standards of leadership, brotherhood, scholarship and self-governance. IFC coordinates educational, social and recruitment programs for member chapters, as well as establishes rules and standards for behavior and membership.
IFC chapters are available at all UMKC new student Orientations and will be hosting the following events in the Fall of 2009:
Move In Day Assistance - UMKC Residence Halls - Friday, August 21st at 8 am The IFC men will be helping residence move into the residence halls. This is a great time for students and parents to ask questions and learn about the fraternity community at UMKC
Soccer Tailgate - UMKC Soccer Stadium - Sunday, August 23rd from 5:30 - 7 pm Stop by and talk to the men of IFC to enter to win an IPOD TOUCH!
Greek 101 - University Playhouse - Monday, August 24th @ 6 pm Come out a meet all the fraternity and sorority members and learn more about our community!
