Senator Attendance:

1. How often must I attend Senate Meetings?
You must maintain an "adequate attendance" while a Student Senator. If you miss two consecutive meetings or three over your entire term you may be removed from your position by the Chair.

You may be removed from your position by the Chair if you cannot make adequate attendance.

3. How do I send an alternate if I cannot attend?
You must send another member of your divisional council. The alternate will count towards quorum and will be given full voting privileges. You must inform the Administrative Vice President of your alternate a minimum of 24 hours before a regularly scheduled Senate Meeting.

4. How many times can I send an alternate?
An alternate can only be sent three times to regular Senate Meetings during a Student Senator's term.

If you exceed the allowance of three times during a term your absences will be counted as unexcused and you may be removed from your position.

Voting Rights:

7. What do I have to do to have my Academic Council considered a legal member of the Senate?
Your Academic Council must send an updated officer list to Administrative Vice President and the Student Life Office before the first SGA Senate Meeting of the academic year. Those Academic Councils represented at the first meeting of the academic year will be granted the right to vote and be considered legally holding office.
