UMKC Northland offers:

Convenience

Coursework for graduate degrees and continuing professional education programs can be completed entirely at UMKC Northland, located just south of the Kansas City International Airport and easily accessible via I-29 or I-435.  Several of the graduate degree programs offered have a  pre-set schedule which allows students to see when the degree can be completed and which courses should be taken each semester.   (Check out the programs above).  Enrollment and fee payments may be handled via the internet, and textbooks may be purchased online from the UMKC Bookstore.

Facilities
Students enjoy spacious classrooms with circular tables and comfortable chairs.  The computer lab allows students to work in a quiet environment and complete coursework away from home.

Flexibility

During fall and winter semesters, classes meet late afternoons, evenings, and weekends.  In the summer, classes may be more concentrated as they meet less often.
Graduate students may enroll in a district cohort program or take classes individually as needed.  A cohort is a group of 20-25 students which begins the program and progresses towards the degree together.

Future Growth

Plans are under way to add new graduate degrees and continuing professional education programs. Partnerships have been formed with community representatives to develop new programs in response to the needs of business, industry, and local governments.

We now have wireless computer access.
