“Before Disaster Strikes: An Emergency Preparedness Workshop for Kansas Cultural Collections,” open to employees of Kansas cultural institutions and Kansas residents. The intended audience are Administrators and staff responsible for emergency preparedness, response and decision-making, in all types of cultural institutions, including libraries, museums and archives. The workshops are sponsored by the Kansas State Historical Society, the State Library of Kansas and other Kansas cultural collections organizations.

  • Northeast Region: Topeka, Kansas State Historical Society, Friday, October 2, 2009

  • Southeast Region: Wichita, Botanica, Thursday, October 15, 2009

  • West Region: Dodge City, Dodge City Public Library, Thursday, October 29, 2009 (with video conferencing & facilitation in Colby, Pioneer Memorial Library)
