KCAA's Future

As we enter our fourth decade, KCAA envisions a dynamic future marked by continued cooperation and growth for all area professionals and member institutions. Upcoming plans include strengthening programs, more widely promoting scholarship and internship opportunities, and enhancing communication and publications. The next year promises a new member directory, Web site, and an effective balance of educational and networking opportunities throughout the area.

In 2003 the Steering Committee commissioned a review of KCAA's organizational records to gather data for a history to celebrate KCAA's twenty-fifth year. Patsy Moss, a doctorial student in History at UMKC undertook the analysis which resulted in a comprehensive history that outlines the activities, leaders, successes of KCAA though the years. Patsy, who has considerable experience working with non-profit organizations, also offered a view of the trends of change, strengths, and weakness that KCAA has experiences with some modest suggestions about the future. This second document is for the members consideration and discussion as we look forward.
