UMKC offers a test preparation program for the GRE general exam.
This program is open to both UMKC students and non-students.
The classes are designed to familiarize students with the format of the test, and to provide them with strategies and techniques for approaching the different sections of the GRE. A diagnostic test, take-home practice questions, vocabulary reviews, and simulated GRE computer test provide feedback to the students and their instructors.
Students who are especially weak in math may want to take a refresher course, or obtain some outside tutoring, before taking this class.
The fee of $300 includes all class materials, and is due on the first day of class. Payment can be by check, money order, or credit card. No cash please.
Applicants should:
- be a Junior or Senior, or hold a bachelors degree.
- have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA.
- plan to take the GRE soon after completing the class.
- be able to attend all class sessions.
For additional information email the program coordinator at bahmd@umkc.edu.
