He is managing editor for New Letters magazine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and editor of Forum, a bi-monthly magazine about the visual arts in mid-America, published by the Kansas City Artists Coalition. Since 1983, he has directed the Midwest Poets Series at Rockhurst College in Kansas City. His poetry has been anthologized in A to Z: 200 Contemporary American Poets and Anthology of Magazine Verse and Yearbook of Poetry. He is author of two chapbooks, Taking Leave and Rescue Mission; and he has edited Voices from the Interior, a collection of work by fifty-three Missouri poets.
