CALL for 2008 Alumni Awards Nominations

UMKC is proud of the accomplishments of its alumni. Each year, the Alumni Association calls for nominations for each of the UMKC Alumni Awards, selects the recipients and then publicly recognizes these individuals at Celebration – the UMKC Alumni Awards Dinner. Who do you know who deserves to be recognized for significant professional achievements, alumni or community service or a family with a tradition of being UMKC alumni?  What UMKC alumnus/a do you know who is making our world a better place? Help us showcase UMKC’s story by nominating alumni for one or more of these special awards.

Nomination Procedure:

• Deadline for Nominations: 5 p.m., February 1, 2007 Previous award recipients may be considered for other awards. Anyone may submit a nomination.
• Send completed nominations to:

          Selection Procedure:

• Nominations are forwarded to the academic units for first determinations. Academic units advance their recommendations to the Campus-wide Selection Committee which is comprised of alumni, faculty, administrators, students, and community members. Selected awards recipients are approved by UMKC Alumni Board of Directors. The recipients are notified by mail and must be available to attend the awards dinner gala to receive the award.
• Nominees not selected remain in the pool for a total of three years.
