Founded in 2002, the Torchbearer Campaign provides UMKC faculty and staff with an annual opportunity to show their institutional pride. Commitments generated by Torchbearers enhance the educational experience and demonstrate to UMKC's external partners that faculty and staff believe in the University's future. In 2008-2009, 930 Torchbearers raised $382,090.95 to advance the mission of Kansas City’s University. As a Torchbearer, you have the opportunity to support the program, scholarship, endowment, or other designated area of your choice. A gift to any area of the University at any time, no matter what the amount, qualifies faculty and staff as Torchbearers.
