Transportation Services

UMKC no longer provides vehicle maintenance services for University owned vehicles. The vehicle maintenance will be outsourced to KC Brake & Auto Repair, located at 1913 McGee, Kansas City, MO 64108. Telephone number 816-421-7367. KC Brake & Auto Repair will be able to provide all the services required for vehicle maintenance.
If the vehicle breaks down outside of scheduled maintenance contact KC Brake & Auto Repair and they will come out to take care of the vehicle. For service like dead batteries or flat tires, especially after hours, contact Lazer-Pipes Tow 816-763-6116. Lazer-Pipes can take care of any University owned vehicle and have the required certificate of insurance on file with Procurement. Like any on campus service this service will have to be paid by purchase order. Lazer-Pipes will send a copy of the invoice to me electronically and I will in-turn forward a copy to the department for payment.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for any questions you may have.

The times listed on the schedule are departure times and we recommend that you are at the bus stop about 10 minutes early. We try very hard to stay on schedule, unfortunately, traffic congestion, road construction, and weather all have an impact on actual arrival and departure times. It is strongly suggested that you allow plenty of time to get to your destination.
Questions on the bus schedule, please call 816-235-1354 or send an e-mail to: Transportation
